Proeksport Albania Association
We are a collective of visionaries, a bridge between the historic Albanian factories and the future of industry.
The association “Proeksport Albania” is the official representative of the clothing and footwear industry in Albania. This sector includes 700 active factories.
In 2019 alone, this sector provided about 40% of the country’s exports worth over 900 million euros. In 2019, this sector employed 70 thousand people, making it the number one sector in the country in terms of number of employees.
OUR STRENGTHS
The companies in the sector have the highest “Made in Albania” production capabilities and capacities in the field of fashion, workwear and all types of footwear, work and fashion, based on:

65% of the companies are in the textile sector, with approximately 36,400 employees with over thirty years of experience and progressive qualifications.
Companies in the textile sector are partially certified ISO 9001 – OHSAS 18001 (approximately 35%) of the 455 companies operating in the sector. 35% of the companies are in the footwear sector with approximately 19,600 employees with over thirty years of professionalism and experience.
Companies in the footwear sector are partially certified ISO 9001 – OHSAS 18001 (approximately 15%) of the 245 companies operating in the sector.

Triple Helix Model
PROEKSPORT Albania operates under a triple-helix structure integrating industry, academia and public institutions, ensuring a collaborative environment for innovation, skills development and strategic growth.
- Industry: 16 SMEs in garment, footwear, denim and textile production.
- Academia: Polytechnic University of Tirana (CAD/CAM labs, 3D printing, engineering departments).
- Public Sector: Institutions involved in innovation, digitalisation and cultural heritage (e.g., National Agency for Information Society, National Institute of Cultural Heritage).
